When you create a check-in, we collect:

Important: Location data is completely optional and never required. We only collect or use your location if you explicitly provide consent. When you do choose to share location, we store accurate latitude and longitude coordinates internally to provide you with accurate location-based recommendations. However, your exact location coordinates are never displayed on our public map. For public display, we only use approximate locations (geohash) with approximately 1.2km precision to protect your privacy.
Anonymous Usage
You can use reSentre without creating an account. In this case, we assign you an anonymous identifier (stored in a cookie) to maintain your session and provide basic functionality. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally.
Technical Information
We automatically collect certain technical information when you use our service:
- IP address (for security and service functionality)
- Browser type and version
- Device information
- Usage patterns and analytics (if you consent to analytics cookies)
Payment Information
When you make a purchase or subscription, payment information is processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your complete payment card information on our servers. Stripe collects and processes:
- Payment card details (processed securely by Stripe, not stored by us)
- Billing address and contact information
- Transaction history and subscription details
Stripe's collection and use of your payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We only receive information necessary to confirm payment completion and manage your subscription.

Public Map (Optional)
If you choose to contribute to our public map, we use your check-in data to show general mood trends across areas. Your individual data and exact location coordinates are never displayed. The public map only uses approximate location data (geohash) and shows:
- Approximate areas using geohash (approximately 1.2km precision, not precise coordinates)
- General mood trends aggregated across multiple users
- Only areas with 3 or more check-ins (ensuring individual check-ins cannot be identified)
Communication
We may use your email address to:
- Send account verification emails
- Send password reset emails
- Notify you of important service updates
- Respond to your inquiries or support requests
Data Privacy Principles
Private by Default
All your check-ins and personal data are private by default. We do not share your individual data with anyone unless you explicitly choose to contribute to the public map.
Location is Optional
Location data is completely optional and never required. We only collect or use your location if you explicitly provide consent. This information may be used for research, analytics, and business consulting purposes. Individual user identities are never disclosed, and this data cannot be used to identify you personally. Only aggregated emotional patterns associated with specific locations are shared, without any personal information.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights and safety
- Service providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating our service (under strict confidentiality agreements), including:
- Stripe: Payment processing services. Stripe collects and processes payment information in accordance with their Privacy Policy. We do not store complete payment card details on our servers.
- Google Analytics: Website analytics services (only if you consent to analytics cookies). Google Analytics collects usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics through our cookie preferences or using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
